My name is Nicholas Ducharme (he/him). I am a multidisciplinary communication specialist who has a passion for reaching target audiences with thoughtfully-tailored messages.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English—Technical Communication from the University of Central Florida and over a decade of experience in various arenas of “getting the point across” to my fellow human beings.

My Services
Regardless of what the message needs to be and whom it needs to reach, I can ensure that it arrives on-time and in style. This portfolio contains project samples for all of the following categories.

Technical communication is my bread and butter. I have accumulated extensive experience in both software and hardware tech comm. I have written, edited, and published manuals, release notes, and internal/external user guides for industry giants like Lockheed Martin and FIS, as well as up-and-coming disruptors like Sagent.

In addition to a technical mindset, I also come equipped with a creative one. I have served as the Communications Chair and Newsletter editor for the Florida chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). My writings (as well as those submitted by colleagues after I edited them) have been published in blogs, press releases, magazines, and local newspapers.

My strategic and collaborative approach produces results. Whether the task is to balance multiple priorities with competing timelines as an individual contributor or to spearhead a team of communicators working toward a common goal, I have a track record of success that I am happy to share.

The pen is mighty, but so is the microphone. I have spoken in front of groups in various contexts including company-wide meetings; professional gatherings; and official meetings at the city, county, and state levels.

I was the chief planner for the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Book Giveaway that we held in October of 2023. Two local newspapers covered the event:
The Beacon interviewed me and my fellow Advocacy Co-Chair directly, whereas The News Journal‘s article was a larger story about one of the organizations we partnered with for the event—the DeLand Quakers.
I served as the chief planner for this event again in September of 2024. The West Volusia Beacon newspaper covered the 2024 version of the event.
